Monik was born in 1960 in Quebec City. Although gifted and challenged by the arts, it was in special education that she was educated. Graduating in hand, she left her hometown for Europe and Western Canada. Monik will discover his passion for creation by first doing stained glass for a few years. Later, she discovered her love for painting and she definitely adopted her brushes to express herself.
ARTISTIC PATH
From a young age, I have always wanted to paint. Since ambition is ageless, my workshop quickly became my school, my sanctuary, and my refuge! I have now devoted myself full time to this since 2016. Motivated and passionate, I constantly strive to surpass myself. I am a realist in life and in my art. I draw my inspiration from nature; clouds, sea, and animals particularly fascinate me. Self-taught artist, I paint in my own way. Especially in my technique of adding and subtracting paint directly on my support to achieve the desired effect down to the smallest details.
